Abstract
Sugar cane (Saccharum spp.) in Jalisco, México, represents one of the main agro-industrial crops and the one of highest socioeconomic relevance for the entity. In face of the decrease in productivity of commercial varieties, an evaluation was carried out of the industrial quality variables in new hybrids and commercial varieties in three cane-producing zones in Jalisco, differentiated by their conditions of climate, management and soil. The information obtained was analyzed through multivariate-combined statistical methods, during two cultivation cycles. The national hybrids ATEMEX 99-48, COLMEX 95-27 and ATEMEX 99-1 turned out to be outstanding for the study zones due to their sucrose content
