In Puebla, México, the state government’s program for Rural Extension Work was implemented to train and assist rural producers from marginalized regions and to contribute to the population’s food security through backyard production. The types of training and assistance that producers from 24 municipalities and 61 communities from the No. 5 Rural Development District from Izúcar de Matamoros received are described.
