USE OF TDB-1107 TRAPS TO COLLECT INSECTS IN CITRUS PLANTS

Abstract
In a study performed in five ejidos in Padilla, Tamaulipas, México, with 20 TDB-1107 ultraviolet light traps placed in ejido citrus plantations, 5,436 specimens were collected of 13 orders and 68 families of insects, primarily Coleoptera and Lepidoptera. The following were obtained: 666 individuals of scarab beetles (Phyllophaga spp.), as well as some secondary pests of citrus trees (Citrus spp.) such as the small green stink bug, citrus chiva, and the citrus root weevil.
