Abstract

Livestock extension workers were characterized in the North of Sinaloa, México, as well as the actors who provide them with council and information to carry out rural extension work, with the aim of strengthening their networks for knowledge and direct work with rural producers, through the method of study case and analysis of social networks, with the variables of knowledge network with five livestock extension workers during the periods of September 2011 and July 2015. The network of knowledge in 2015 showed a higher level of trust and more direct and immediate flow of information with regard to the network in 2011. It is necessary to promote and increase the academic actors and research institutes that provide council and technical support to livestock extension workers to strengthen their work.
