EVALUATION OF RHIZOBACTERIA STRAINS IN THE PRODUCTION OF HABANERO CHILI (Capsicum chinense Jacq.) SEEDLINGS

Abstract
With the objective of observing the effect of four different experimental strains of rhizobacteria on the growth of seedling growth of habanero chili (Capsicum chinense Jacq.), under greenhouse conditions, the inoculation of rhizobacteria on the growth of habanero chili seedlings was evaluated. The strains studied were: Pseudomonas fluoresens A9m, Avm and C2, and Azospirillun brasilense (UAP40). The experimental design used was complete random blocks with five treatments and four repetitions. The growth of the plants was significantly higher because of the effect of inoculation with rhizobacteria. A greater growth was obtained with the strain Avm, which increased the height of the seedling in 36.74 %, the stalk diameter in 46.27 %, foliar area in 45.73 %, the dry weight of leaves and stems in 30.23%, and the dry weight of the root in 40 % compared with the control (p?0.05). The results showed that the use of the rhizobacteria evaluated improves significantly the growth of the habanero chili plants under greenhouse conditions
