Abstract
Objective: To determine the cost-benefit relation of the May capulín (ardisia compressa), to determine its potential as an economic complement to the coffee growers of the municipality of Sochiapa.
Design, methodology and approximation: For the development of the research a mixed methodology was used, with a concurrent execution, collecting the field information combining semi-structured surveys under sampling and direct observation.
Limitations and implications: The lack of analyzes that provide official information on the chemical properties of the May capulín are limiting in the creation of proposals on its use.
Findings and conclusions: The May capulín is a sub used, wild species with agrifood and economic potential that has not been exploited due to lack of training and information for the establishment as a crop.
