Abstract
The objective was to evaluate the contribution of moringa (Moringa oleífera Lam.) to family food security through the adoption of its cultivation and its inclusion in the family diet. The methodology was based on a modified management model that includes the phases of motivation, diagnosis, applied research, community development (training and participative research), and evaluation in each phase. The application of the model in the community of Angostillo, in Paso de Ovejas, Veracruz, México, impacted 20 families, who have reproduced moringa in their backyards; they consume it in various presentations, and have managed to motivate staff from the local health center, who are supporting in the
dissemination of its cultivation and use in other communities.
